Guilty Pleasure Bands

Alright, will do and me either to be honest just saw it and it was a small can for pretty cheap so thought why not give it ago?

Ace of Bass, Jewel, Celine Deon, Tool, Weird Al, Wrestling Themes - This is the worst one I think

pretty much most late 90's, early 2000's pop like Brittany Spears, TLC, Mariah Carey, etc.

I should hate it, but my mother would only listen to Metallica's black album once before she through in some "Waiting to Exhale OST" kind of stuff. Ace of Bass's the Sign album I used to know all the words to. If I could dance, it would be to this album.

Wrestling Music. I cannot explain it. Maybe because I was SOOOO into it for so long that I actually quit school to go and try to become the next Kane. I get goose bumps from a lot of the music. I put it on my phone and when I need to get pumped for something, Ill blast the ECW theme, Triple H's old theme, or Goldberg's theme. I just get jacked. I have been known to lift weights to it as well. As a kid, I would spend hours just playing the music in the "create-a-wrestler" sections of games. I think Kurt Angle's first theme was on par with the Rocky Music as far is inspirational and patriotic sounding music.

Wrestling Music. I cannot explain it.

WOW! I didn't expect Boom to come out with something so left field....

This page has been banned in my school drugs, and alcohol content! Probably because Jim used the horrific term "Booze". Shame on you

What were your bands called?

oh my god that's funny.... but its probably because people keep posting alcohol and bongs as non-musical items

What are you saying? I play the bong in the London Philarmonic, every Tuesday. Got my grade 8 five years ago!

MY BANDS I WAS IN?

the only one that met with any success (and that being strictly regional) was Under Your Bed... and I am still bitter we missed our shot due to legal problems, but these things happen... I probably should have hung in there because things worked out for our local contemporaries, Haelstorm, but we really weren't getting along anymore as opposed to Lizzy and Co who managed to stay a family even while their album was shelved. Coulda woulda shoulda., right? Here ya go, this is most of our record.... I think there's 1 track missing that I don't particularly like how it turned out and there's a single version of 'no compromise' that I probably should upload because its got a different feel....

there was also brick window, zeitmahl (I just played bass for my friend in that one), space charge (also bass, oddly enough)..... god I forget them all now, dude I am losing it... countless highschool bands that never recorded anything....

What would you call that genre? Post Grunge?

What would you call that genre? Post Grunge?

sure, that or maybe neo-glam/proto-punk? depends on the track? we had a style we liked to call "rock n roll jukebox", though not as much diversity made the album as I woulda liked

And "September 1985". Were you some kind of prodigal EDM toddler?

nah, its a gag... my exwife said it sounded like it was done in 1985 so I named it that... its an old track though.... I am not sure if we were even married when I wrote it

I've been doing the electronic thing a long ass time though.... mid 90s?
