hi i am new here please say hi :)

where are we?

why aren't we somewhere else?

those are the questions my fingers often ask me, when i place them where they are not expecting to be, on the neck of my guitar or bass.

someone suggested i not only join this place, but they insisted i say hi.

so, hi.

i'm a stringed instrument musician. i refuse to play drums or percussion, on principal. drumming and percussion are too violent. they're always beating something. #MusicPun

happy new year. glad to be here, i think.

Also new, happy to be here. Guitar/vocals, inspired to find a better way to loop. Found you guys after searching for Ed's pedal setup after watching the Austin City Limits show.

Cheers, Reno

hello new people! welcome... we have a hello thread stickied in the general board and new members generally get a MUCH warmer response when introducing themselves there. The forum gets a bit dead around holidays though.

I would also suggest you get some user pictures. Long time members seem to be cagey with new guys who don't have some sort of avatar. It does make you look transitory.

Best wishes in the new years!

Hi there! I initially visited this website to take a look at the equipment my musical heroes were using to get a bit of an idea how they produced such sweet tones that caught my ear and never let go. I started off as a musician with guitar 41 years ago and drums was added in 1983. My current rig rundown is Ibanez Troubador 25 watt acoustic amp, Peavey mic, mic stand, a Blueridge 12 string and a Fender Stratacoustic.

My wife and I live in Maumee, OH a suburb of Toledo.

Hi! And welcome!

Hey all! I originally found this site a few days ago looking at Jack White's gear. Looks pretty awesome! I'm a 40yo music fanatic that FINALLY decided to do something about it! I am not married, no kids & work from home. Seems like its a good recipe for musical success. It's my goal to move on from this amazing life of Architecture, Engineering & Construction & focus 100% on music someday. Maybe I can roll them together for a while I get my music tuned-in? Not asking for much. Maybe do a few recordings so I can leave something forever behind for when I'm gone? We'll see. I'm averaging about 3rs per day right now 7 hoefully more if the fingers & back allow it. Whatever it takes! Currently playing a Fender Tim Armstrong acoustic & a Epiphone Les Paul Traditional II for an electric. However my bud just brought over a Gibson SG & Fender Tele with tons of pedals & giant amp for me to use while they house shop. Guess who’s amped!?! Thnkyou for this site! Glad to be around like minded people! Later, Kap
