HOW MANY HOURS A DAY SHOULD YOU PRACTICE IF YOU WANT TO BE PROFESIONAL

I'd say it is going to vary for everyone but a friend of mine probably practiced about 6-8 a day and I noticed a tremendous difference after a few years.

Now five years in, I am in aw out how far he has come.

I think joining a choir is one of the best things anyone can do to support learning instrument. It really helps to develop ear for music and understand Intervals And harmonies. It helps quickly build confidence and gets you used to making music with others As well as performing in front of an audience. I also found it the fastest way to become familiar with musical notation and learn to sight read. Basically I found it the most effective way to get music theory into my head.

GEAR:
  • Epiphone Casino Coupe
  • Pignose "Legendary" 7-100
  • Hohner Marine Band 1896 Diatonic Harmonica

I would disagree, every voice major I've kown sucks at their other instrument even though their sight reading kills and they can backup even a bad singr like me...b ut they can't rite a chart woth a damn and can't command a band

I don't udnerstand why western music is so fucking confusing to everyone, its pretty simple, there are only 12 tones to ombine and move around after all.... maybe its being raised on it

all the church/highschool choir people I know (alot I might add) are clueless outside of even when it comes to voive unles you are handing the rudimentary blues or gospel bullhist with 1, 4, 5 shit or that plagal cadence that american church music loves... ask them for even a modified plagal cadence off a stack of 9ths or ths? bah
