Les Paul body

Hey there, so i just found a rosewood neck and body for a les paul while cleaning a friends house and I got to keep it so a little while after that I started thinking about making a costum les paul. So my question is: Should I stick to the rosewood or should i get mahogany?

You mean the whole body and neck arecarved from big pieces of rosewood?

The neck is mixed with some other wood but I don't know what kind

Its a les paul, set neck, but the body and neck are unfinished and the neck's not glued in yet? IR cunfuzzled.
