Consensus seems to be that they're pretty great.

I don't have one, Marshall isn't really my thing, but a friend of mine had one ordered in and he loves it for his little studio, I've heard it played and the effects on board are pretty stunning and the level of control over their individual parameters is hard to beat.

I don't know if you've seen but the Andertons TV channel did a pretty lengthy demo of it a while ago, if I remember they do go into good detail about how the Bluetooth app works

I hadn't ever heard of it before this posting. Since this morning, I have been watching a lot of videos on it. To my ears, it sounds digital. I think you could play this Code next to a real Marshall and be able to tell the difference through audio alone. For me, that makes this item a bust.

The only digital technology that has impressed me was the Kemper Profiler. I was unable to distinguish the differences between it and the amps it was simulating. As far as a small studio goes, they would be better off paying the extra dough and getting something well worth the money than dropping just 300 on this amp. The code seems pretty limited to me and knowing how expensive quality Marshalls go for, the price tag alone makes me think Marshall didn't put much love into this.

Thanks all, I had read the reviews and watched the clips (including Andertons) and had asked the questions of the stores. Since NAMM 2016 the ONLY information released on these amps was precisely what Marshall wanted released. With 100 presets and a wall of onboard combinations, it seemed a bit odd that everyone seemingly dialled in the same 5 or 6 combos. Yes the price waved flags and harkened back to the pricing of the old Valvestate endeavour of the 90s, but I just hoped that someone had played one first hand....

Pretty sure a $250 entry-level modelling amplifier is not aimed to compete with an actual Marshall amplifier, let alone a Kemper.

Exactly my point. If you went into a studio to record and found this sitting up on the rack, you'd know to leave immediately.

This is merely on the market to try an take the money of people just getting their first guitars. For the cash, there are better options out there for a new player.

Oooh, I see. In that case, yes, studio-wise, it doesn't seem to be very good use of a modelling amp.
