Palmer Pocket amp MK2

Anyone have any experience with these? On thomanns website it claims its a pedal sized preamp but looking at it, it seems more like a di box. Also seems very similar to a sans amp classic. Anyone know much about it

Palmer make better stuff then? The vintage mode emulates a tweed, brit is a ac30 and plexi mixed together and us is a mesa bogie of some kind. This pedal seems more like a glorified distortion pedal to me

well, the professional line of Palmer stuff is VERY well made, like the DIs, load boxes, speaker emualtors... you see them on a lot of professional stages and judging by their DI boxes the stuff is great... they're like Europe's Radial Engineering.

I can't speak to this little Sans Amp line, but I would bet they are all clones of the Tech 21 gear built to Palmer's exacting standards. I mean, why make an inferior version of a product line that's available in Europe already?

if you'e looking for a pedalbaord amp to take on the train (tube) and for fly gigs maybe forget about the Palmer Sansamp and power amp combo and check out the Quilter Microblock. I got one just to see and this little guy sounds great. I was surprised. Look it up.

if tis like a sans amp its probably funky sounding out front of an amp... although Kurt used a sansamp as an OD, hwoever, when i think nice tone I'm not thinking Cobain.

I don't care too much about tone as long as it sounds good to me, remember i use a beat up modded squier bullet strat as my main guitar lol. I just like all the voicings on it. Next Saturday me and a band mate are going to PMT, a huge music store in Portsmouth so hopefully they will let me try a few preamps and power amps through a 412 cab and see what i can come up with as to the sound in my head
