pedal guys, have you seen BYOC's programmable looper?

I don't even use a lot of pedals and I am thinking of ordering one of these programmable 8 loop effects selector kits to build...

UNDER 200 bucks!

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Looks like a smaller version of the JOYO programable looper with MIDI. Very nice! I'm gunna buy myself a looper soon I think, tap dancing isn't very fun and is distracting! By the way I will reply about the amps tomorrow, my phone keeps being a prick when I try to reply!

Seems like a pedalboard friendly version of this

except the joyo stuff is junk Chinese components.... I considered buying one of those joyo loopers but I was afraid it would break at a gig... then I sold all my pedals....

if you're not afraid to solder I can guarantee you the BYOC is a better choice though its not a true midi control device

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

Dunno, that joyo stuff is surprisingly high quality for the cash. I've never heard anything bad about them myself. I've never seen pr heard of anything made by BYOC. How does midi even work by the way? Ice always wondered

I don't have all day here to explain how MIDI controls relays via simple program change data across a given channel LOL... I dunno, I am sure joyo's simple stuff like knockoff OD pedals? fine, but I don't trust a knockoff midi device nor do I trust a device with that many relays and jacks.... BYOC is "Build Your Own Clone", I have built one of their kits, they do NOT fuck around.

There is a lot of Asian crap gear, but actuallt JOYO is a decent company, for the price.

Is there no programmable looper you can buy for a cheaper price, because I don't want to run the risk of building it, and wasting 200 if it doesn't work. Once I'm happy with my whats on my board I need to get something like that, because I never took ballet lessons as a kid.

Harley Benton/the joyo are around the same price but are huge. I'm gubna get one of these, I'm a retard and didn't notice you build it. I love building stuff also noticed they have a Marshall 18w kit now that is something I have to do!!!

Dunni how I didn't notice you build it yourself. The joys of being up at ridiculous times in the night. I'll have to buy one and a few of their pedals too! Love building stuff and soldering and all that great stuff

who doesn't make an 18 watt kit? but apparently BYOC's amps come with really good isntructions for 1st timers. My buddy built their tweed royale kit when it 1st came out and said the instructions looked excellent even though he didn't need them. I actually eally like the 20 watt a lot too. Usually I would say I am all about tube rectifiers over diode-bridges, but In the case of the little marshall amps I like the 18 watt to record and the 20 watt on stage. The extra punch is a good thing playing live. The 20 watt REALLY cuts the mix.

I'm thinking of getting one of these

This, or the gigrig g2, is the looper, to end all looopers

the gigrig is the way to go, but its a lot of money... for this kinda scratch you can get a G system or helix with lots of digital effects built in and I think 4 programmable loops for pedals and pres and such. For me the digital delays and modulations are appealing and I only need a couple loops, some for amps and maybe 1 or 2 for the analog pedals I have kept like my favorite fuzz. I really like the idea of a programmable gadget that has onboard effects as well as loops for my analog stuff.

Is there any other soloution to the tap dance thing, as my band could potentially be part of quite a big show, and I don't want to f up, but can't afford a looper.

build the BYOC man.... cheap
