Question On Fender/Squier Mustangs

I've had a Squier Mustang for a while now, and I've been considering getting another one, the only thing I don't like about the one I got now is that the body feels pretty thin compared to most Guitars. The model I have now is a 2019 Squier Mustang HH that costed $180 New. It has a thin Basswood body that's only 34mm/1.3 inches thick and I'm looking for something around 45mm/1.7 inches like my Strat, do the higher-end Squier/Fender Mustangs have a Thicker Bodies on them?

A buddy of mine just got one of the new Mexico-factory PJ Mustang basses. He was doing a show & tell over Zoom and I asked him about body thickness, and he showed me the profile "too thin to even warrant a tummy-cut contour" he said.

I have this same reservation about Mustangs, but I've yet to see one that is anywhere near as thick as a Strat. Definitely curious if such a thing exists, though.

the 5'1" little girl who used to front one of my bands went out guitar shopping with me and we got her a japanese mustang, it was SG thin or thinner

What about a Jaguar-bodied short-scale? Fender has done quite a few different pickup and bridge configs with the jag's strat-width, offset, tummy-cut body style over last few years. You'd get same scale length as Mustang, plus the body-beef you crave, no?

While I am thinking about getting a Jaguar aswell, I was looking more for a Mustang body, besides I don't know where I can find Mustang replacement necks.

Though if I get a Jaguar I might put a Mustang neck on it too...

pardon my ignorance, but other than the binding on vintage models, are Mustang necks that different than Jaguar necks?

Also, I see (now) that you have both a Jaguar and a Mustang already. Sorry!

Well it's a "Jag-Master" so it's half Jaguar half Jazzmaster, doesn't really have the same hardware or electronics.

And after looking this morning, I figured out that the Jaguars have a 24-inch scale aswell so I could just get a Jaguar replacement Neck (as a short scale replacment for other guitars).

Also while looking this morning I saw where the Fender/Squier Cyclones have a Mustang body but are a quarter-inch thicker, so I might try one of those.

the cyclone has a larger neck scale too, gibson 24 and 3/4, they're nice guitars

I've been looking at a Jaguar neck so I might just buy it with the Cyclone.

Do you know anywhere you can get Mustang replacement Necks new?
