I was looking at some DiMarzios today and saw that some of the models were "F-Spaced Only", This made me wonder just what is "F-Spacing"?

If someone could give me some info on what "F-Spacing" is I'd be very grateful.

F= Fender G=Gibson

Seriously though, F-spacing refers to the widest spacings on full-sized humbucking pickups. For correct string alignment and a balanced output, F-spaced humbuckers should be used in the bridge position on guitars with string spacing at the bridge of 2.1″ or 53mm (or greater).
