Strymon Bluesky vs Walrus descent

what choose is better?

Bluesky pick my. Christian music guitar players also too.

I would have said that P&W used the Big Sky, not the BlueSky.

The BlueSky offers some pretty nice sounding reverbs... because pretty nice is what Strymon do. It allows you to shape the tone and delay of your reverb signal and it just makes it sound... pretty nice.

The Walrus adds the octaves and the reverse reverb... plus seperate wet mix and dry mix knobs. A lot more control on this one. But it can get a bit murky, a bit cheesy and a bit stupid sounding... as well as the standard pretty nice settings.

Between BlueSky and Descent.. I choose Descent.

Between Big Sky and Descent... that would be a different question.

better? that's a matter of taste & application.

I had a Big Sky- fantastic as it was I sold it to fund an OTO Bam but that was a matter of personal taste.

Though I do plan on adding a Digitech Polara when I can- it sounds absolutely fantastic (bassed on the legendary Lexicon reverb algos) and at the price point is a killer deal.

What did you have in mind to use it on? Guitar/vox/synth/etc?

i would have said big sky, of the two you put id say descent tho its a realy cool and unique pedal but both you put are very very good pedals

I've heard lots of good things about the Descent and I like the idea of a lot of the settings but I don't know how much I would use them. I currently own a Blue Sky for my main verb. I use the "Favorite" preset all the time for ambient swells and crap like that. Also the Shimmer setting sounds like heaven.

BTW everyone, he said BLUE Sky, not Big Sky. Yes, the Big Sky is the ultimate, but its also about $200 more! Big Sky is overkill for me. Don't get me wrong if someone wants to donate one to me, I'd happily accept! ;-)
