Volume Pedals

Well, like I said, it was an idea. Wait, let me rephrase: it was a theory! Theories are meant to be proven wrong and now I know. Either way, I already said a good volume knob(s) are better in this situation.

"Ghetto rigged"... Today, I learned a new phrase. Anyways, I don't claim to know everything, Jim. You know i'm open to advice and criticism, so it shouldn't come to a surprise that i'm taking something away from what you say.

I can't always do what "normal" bassists do because I use unusual instruments. The bass I use currently for live playing has 2 jazz pickups and 1 Musicman style humbucker. Each has a master volume, but they are spread apart. This is not easy to turn all 3 down at once. The pedal is must.

see, I would just add a master volume knob to that, especially given that its active so you won't experience audible signal loading from an extra pot in series... but man, where to put a master?

with respect, that's a very cool but impractical design

Yeah. I love this bass so much though, I don't want to tinker with it. I'm afraid to change the strings just in case whatever brand these are, are the secret to it's sound :)

I plan to have a duplicate, V2 of it made. When I get that done, I'd like to have have the volumes up front and in order

J, M, J

the concentric stay where it is, and have the Push/Pull Active/Passive switch be in the very back and be a master volume if I can. As of right now, the push/pull does only that from what I can tell. No changes to tones or volumes when turning. Just push and pull.

I get that...
