What guitar model is that?

Image link: https://imgur.com/IUg9tEJ

This is an old pic i found of my dad playing some weird looking guitar and i want to discover what model it is

I tried using google lens and found lots of similar looking guitars like Mosrites and old Tagimas but none of them are exactly the same

My dad has no idea what guitar was that, he doesn't know much about gear actually and the only guitar models he is able to name are Strats and Les Pauls.

Some information that may help is that the pic is from the 1990s and we are from Brazil

GEAR:
  • Strinberg Guitars EGS 216
  • Boss SD-1 Super OverDrive
  • Tom'sline AMS-3 MOD STATION 11 classic modulation

Tough one!

I looked through images of guitars that were supposedly sold in Brazil in the 1990s (Giannini, Eko, Condor...) but nothing quite matched.

It looks like something that would have been sold by Sears in the USA in the 1960s or 70s (Slivertone brand). Those Sears guitars were manufactured by Kay, Harmony, Teisco, Danelectro, and National-Dobro. If you look up pictures of guitars from these makers from the 60s and 70s, you'll see a lot of almost-matches... especially Teisco.

I tried my best tricks, but no luck so far.

GEAR:
  • Roland TR-808 Rhythm Composer
  • Roland SH-101
  • Roland TR-909 Rhythm Composer

it looks like a teisco del ray of some sort to me.... or maybe its a Hondo, weird japanese brand

GEAR:
  • Roland Juno-6
  • Gibson SG Standard
  • Vox AC30 Guitar Combo Amp

The Body does look like an URAL 650 , but not the Headstock and not the knobs , I did search for Urals Guitar but did not find it there, URAL Guitars were made in the Sowjet Union. The 1970s Sverdlovsk Ural 650 Guitar did come in 1000 of variations, everytime improved and different, also in Design, but your guitar comes close to an Ural.

The Body Speaks for an Ural , also the Bridge, ... but not the Headstock got Printings, most Urals do not have Printing and some just saying Urals, Swjet Guitars never had Branding, because they were all build by the state and never a company , so they had no brandings at all And the Urals are not all but mostly bombed with knobs and switches and do often come with much more along. So its a weird Guitar , I wanna know now too.

But look them up , the body is very similar to an Ural Guitar made in USSR, specially the 70ties Era.

GEAR:
  • Squier 40th Anniversary Jazzmaster Vintage Edition
  • Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV
  • EarthQuaker Devices Plumes

Привет!

No, this is definitely not a Ural. I've encountered many Ural guitars, and this one, while similar, is definitely not a Ural. At least a different logo. I think it's really look like Teisco.
