Xotic Guitars

If this headache gets any worse, I might just risk the electric chair for a new pair of eyes.

Yeah, maybe the police won't recognise me with a tiny black mask and blood running down my face.

Shit, i'm home and I have to be four inches from the damned screen just to see what the words say.

Ok, I'm pretty confused; your at college, is that the equivalent of an English University, or the English sixth Form/College. What is the American drinking age, I assumed you were over 21?

He's disqualified, nobody on this forum could afford a legit MM Masjesty, its like £2-3k

I'm not sure how it works in England, but it's a bit odd here in America. We have community colleges that are very affordable and people use to take general education classes so they can cut costs and transfer to a four-year university while only paying for classes relevant to your major.

Drinking age is 21. I'm 19. Like most people say, you only need to be 18 to go to war, but 21 to drink. So when has a petty drinking age ever stopped anyone such as myself?

English education just doesn't equate to American education, don't even try to sort it out guys....

and American education just doesn't seem to compare to the education people can get in the UK, the UK's biggest problem isn't that the education system is bad, its that everyone quits early and then goes on to become soccer (err, football?) hooligans... whereas in the USA the big problem is that you can actually PAY for a kid to get a shitty education from pre-school to PHD... I dated a rich girl who went to prep-school and an ivy league and she was one of the most ignorant persons I have ever known.

The English education system is far from perfect, but I say that in bated breath, because as I speak my computer is being monitored potentially, by an attendant.

I could go into more detail, though I frankly can't really be bothered, its been a long day (Bloody skip-a-thons...), and I have to stay back at school, before going onto a rehearsal place, 45 minutes walk through a miserable walk away, to allegedly put together an acoustic set for an acoustic concert on Friday, with my band, because for the last weeks I haven't had a decent acoustic available, and then when I do our singer, and bass player doesn't tell us, she's playing cello in a care home...

As a positive though, my school's just changed internet blockers, meaning that even though this new one is a lot tighter, and I can get onto Bandcamp, so I'me using that, going through some TTNG EPs.

your school is encouraging you to write and perform your own music, that's a plus... trust me, you brits don't know how good you have it when it comes to education (and I went to a pretty decent, well-funded school)

the American education system is THE PITS

also, check out the remix I'm working on for WHORSE in the electronic forum and tell me what you think, I am really rusty at remixing

From what I hear, our education system is cutting arts and such. A shame because that's the exact opposite of what needs to be done.

It's truly sad to know that people are going insane for all these new laws, yet they don't understand that the underlying problems may be a distinct lack in educational funding.

I'll get my glasses today and listen to your remix soon. You linked it here, eh? Page one of this thread, I believe.

"if its offensive to small children then I am doing my job"

I was under the impression that it would be offensive to much older gentlemen. ESPECIALLY that type of music. You know stereotypical old men hate that noise, how loud and indiscernible it is. They don't even know what the hell an internet is.

Edit: Give me a moment to listen.

Wow, everything's so... crushed. Sounds like a weird, out-of-control ring modulator was pushed into some of those sounds, then controlled for the verse as a sort of fuzz. Pretty good vibe you have going so far.

almost everything from the original track is downsampled to 12 or 8 bits with varying sample rates and some samples were played back through a guitar amp and downsampled and filtered again... there is ring mod floating around on some synths tuned to third octave E (within a cent or two), yes fuzz... octave fuzz... non-intelligent pitch shift aplenty creating more ringing and beating, lots of high pass filtering to make room in the lower mids for.... something? I dunno yet

only the drums aren't from the original track, that's a 16 bar break I had laying around from some of my own sessions that I completely fucked up... still getting that all together, perfect breakbeat/jungle is an art that is VERY time consuming

maybe I got out of hand and I need to back off a little on any effects that weren't printed yet.... I just wanted to get as far from the original as I could sonically w/o creating any new audio
