Great for the price

Great guitar, sounds and plays fine. It weighs in at the heaviest guitar I own, maybe safest to always have a guitar strap on even when sitting down.

Not surprisingly for the price (I got it secondhand for 250 quid but I think it sells normally for 400) there are are some issues with fret ends and some of the finishing of the paint finish is rough in places but nothing to bad that I couldn't manage to fix using my Crimson Guitar fret erasers.

Ironically where the "wear" has been simulated on the body top edge where your right arm comes over the guitar body there is a small stripe where there is no "wear" at the very point where your arm rubs on the body. Soon sorted with the fret erasers.

Closer to the original without all the noise

I have this and an Akai Flanger. I'm not sure yet but I think the Mooer gets closer to the sound of the EHX Electric Mistress but without all the noisiness of the original EHX.

My only gripe (and it is stupid really for a pedal that takes up so little space and sounds this good) but the colour and range knobs and their lettering are pretty tiny which when you have ropey eyesight like me, makes it challenging to read!

The JA-90 is my favourite electric

The P90s are great giving you a lot of different tones to choose from. I haven't changed anything on this guitar it just works.

Sounds like a Strat but needs a few tweaks

I have replaced the electronics with ObsidianWire Custom Blender Harness http://obsidianwire.com/custom-blender-for-strat/ as the blender function Obsidian have designed avoids having to alter you pickguard to fit a switch ala Mr Gilmour as well as giving you more control over the tones it lets you choose. Also at a future date if I want to swap out the pickups Obsidian the connector requires no solder (same type as Gigrig's Distributor connections). It also includes a treble bleed capacitor.

I am going to replace the bridge/vibrato with a Callaham one as the Fender trem arm rattles about making playing Jeff Beck type stuff nigh on impossible (Jeff Beck stuff is bloody hard enough already without a wobbly Trem arm!)

Next upgrade will be to replace the neck with a lefty neck with maple fingerboard. I will replace the nut to suit a right handed setup.

I'm also going to replace the tuners with Fender locking tuners again to help with staying in tune and it makes replacing strings a doddle.

Still sussing it out

Still sussing it out but combining this with the EHX Big Muff sounds brilliant, love it!

No brainer real simple

Making the connections is very simple and it is straight forward with the help of a small Allen key to remove a cable at a later date. It just works!

A doddle

Real easy to setup and then just forget about it cos it just does it’s job.

If I only owned one pedal it would be this

Does everything you want plus with the favourite pedal/switch dead simple to retrieve that complicatedspentlotsoftimefiddling delay sound.

Some crazy madness in this box!

This delay pedal is not your run of the mill job oh no. It will reward experimentation and lots of fiddling about to get the hang of what it can do.

My only gripe is it doesn't have an option to let the "trails" run on after you switch it to bypass mode.

Lots of useable Trem sounds

Very simple to use and easy to get just the kind of Trem sound you want via the speed and shape knobs as well as the Tremolo type toggle switch which lets you choose from "Normal", "Harmonic" and "Bias". In addition you can allocate up to three presets to the toggle switch using the Neuro software. I haven't made use of the Source Audio Neuro software as I have been happy just to just tweak the knobs but I suspect if I was gigging I would make use of the presets. The level control is very useful for that perceived drop in volume.

All in all Great for anything from Portishead "Roads" to Nancy Sinatra "Bang Bang"
