As long as you have good headphones, it works beautifully
Out of the box this headphone amp operated amazingly and makes for a great (And incredibly compact) practice/travel amp. The VOX Amplug series in general is great for any on-the-go musician.
My favorite distortion pedal.
Three knobs and a three-way switch make this distortion pedal a great choice for any bassist no matter if they're on a budget or not (I got mine used for about $60). Combined with the wah pedal I have, it sounds great and is perfect for any rock or metal due to its versatile sound (something I love to find in instruments, amps and effects).
Amazing Pedal!
This is a must for any type of serious bassist. It does virtually nothing to your tone when activated and sounds just like its guitar counterparts. No matter if you're a funk or metal bass player, you need this.
Tough but not very well made
My FBGB15 has been knocked around plenty of times, so like i've said in other reviews, it's tough. the actual components are pretty cheap, though. It never sounds perfect and (this may be my cables) but when I step away from the amp while playing/holding my bass it emits an extremely loud buzzing noise. Not your average feedback, a super noisy distorted shriek. When it isn't doing that, it makes for a decent practice amp. If you're a REAL beginner you could buy a brand new one of these and if you don't use it too much it will sound alright.
very durable bass
this was my first bass i ever purchased around 2013 when I was very young. I didn't ever take very good care of it and it has been dropped and taken hits many times before. Basically, it's strong. not a single missing chip of paint (obviously a few dents). HOWEVER, the tone is very flat, and bland. You may never be satisfied with the tuning because it always sounds slightly higher or lower than it should.
awesome bass
This is a great bass with versatile sound, just what I need when I want to experiment with tones. I own a Wine Red colored JBass and it has gone through literally every travel scenario imaginable for the past year. I recommend it, but still make sure you know what the knobs do.
