No-nonsense bass that gets what it needs to done.
As a young, intermediate bassist, the base level fender basses really get down. They have classic and vintage touches without seeming dated, and sound great. Getting an instrument with the fender name on it is reassuring for good reason. It's a no nonsense bass without any frills.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
The bridge pickup on Jazz basses has a tone that I just love with the tone opened all the way up.
