The best parts of each of the YCV amps combined into one.
This was the special edition for the 20th anniversary of the YCV40. It seems like the people at Traynor basically just googled every popular mod for their amps and put them into this one: Creamback speaker, Master Volume, a "modern" switch to switch to the more popular gain sound of the YCV50b. Even came stock with JJ tubes which were a nice surprise as theyweren't advertised on the website (Traynor usually used Sovteks).
The low efficiency Creamback combined with the responsive Master volume even means it can play quite decently at normal speaking levels.

Amazing
More of an EQ than a boost. Based off of a Vox Top boost or a Matchless Preamp (which was also based off the Top boost). Adds sparkly chime to your tone. Another hidden use for it is using it in a turned down tube amp. I find it works much better than a bright-cap at brining back the high end of your tone.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
It's more of an EQ/ external top boost circuit so I find it does best directly before the amp.

Great Dynamics
I was surprised to find that it stays clean or breaks up depending on how hard your attack is, similar to how a tube amps would at the edge of breakup. Very versatile and I cant find a bad setting. Is a darker sounding overdrive so works best when paired with brighter sounding guitars/pedals.
