I did not purchase this pedal for my bass guitar. Inspired by King Buzzo of the Melvins, I purchased this as an alternative to the usual sludge/stoner metal overdrives/distortions such as the RAT, metal zone, or any other counterparts. This pedal is one of the most diverse effects on the market. With guitar, the word "overdrive" is a bit misleading... It's a wide variety of things. Yes, it can be a bluesy overdrive, but it can be, among other things, used as a deadly driving chug machine. This is due, in part, to the equalization and blend knobs. Highs and lows living together in pure chugging peace. I would recommend.
The next time someone recommends the RAT or DS-2 to you... Think for a moment. The BOSS ODB-3 is a perfect option.
