Brilliant
Again brilliant from Rob Papen. A great selection from the basic presets included.
May be a little complicated for the beginner, but in a nutshell is a very usable synth. I use this mainly for intricate synth work, great for incidental plucks and sounds to fill the spectrum.

Perfect for BASS
I mainly use this for most of my bass work.
Has all the classic sounding house basses, and I use this pretty much all the time. Simply call up a preset and tweak till your hearts content. Very powerful editing facilities and Rob Papen has built an amazing and simple platform particularly for those who may not know much about sound design.
I think this is a MUST for any house producer.

Amazing
Another big synth for me.
Can never go wrong using this plugin synth. Sound powerful and always surprises me flicking through presets. Also a vast array of preset packs for this, you would get lost in trawling through them all.

Needed...
Within this pack contains all you should ever need!
Always my go to pack for dynamic processing, particular favorite: Renaissance compressor.

Sounds Awesome
A very powerful sounding synth.
Sonically one of the best out. Only downside is you have very limited sound creating/sculpting possibilities, however other creative editing aspects make up for this some-way (such as ARP settings)

A beast
I migrated from Apple Logic 8 and was initially skeptical.
Main thing that dawned on me whilst playing around and learning the software was the sound clarity/quality, particularly the bottom end on the sound. After this was how powerful Live is using and working with audio. Mere fact I could quantize audio absolutely blew my mind being such a life long fan of Apple Logic (since the Emagic day, or pre-Apple era for those that don't know).
All in all, Ableton is rock solid, sounds amazing and is such a raw and powerful DAW to work in. Been a pleasure and has accelerated my production level two-fold. This is probably down to the fact I'm spending less time tweaking and more time 'producing' and being creative!
Version: Ableton Live 9
