14" x 6" maple wood. Dark, deep and warm
Can't go wrong with a maple Round Badge. Basically every tuning I tried works great. Coated Ambassador on the batter, clear on the reso, plus Fat Cat snares, and you got your deep, versatile snare. It also has a built-in muffler - handy when you quickly need to change the sustain in a gig situation. And of course - just look at it! Gorgeous.

20" x 14" warm, punchy and round - old school funk feel.
I've been trying different heads, but the drum is pretty shallow and it's been hard to refine its sound. Started off with ambassadors on the reso and batter side - didn't work too well (haven't tried with a felt strip muffling though - gonna give it a try ). Powerstroke didn't work too. I cut a round hole in the reso ambassador, and tried Emad on the batter - it worked like a charm. With a pretty loose tuning on the batter and a tight reso there is no nasty click, just punchy, round warm pure awesomeness!
