not that great sounding, but cheap, offers 7 decent sounds, with loads of shaping.
This was my first pedal. It's awesome for home use but only alright in a live setting. I don't really use Rat distortion or Fuzzes, so would dish out 100 for an individual pedal. But having these included is great to fool around with. Distortion is defintely best coming from a valve/tube preamp but using a 2 channel amp, I still need three sounds (clean, crunchy and distortion). So I still use it, because the tubescreamer setting sounds pretty decent in front of my clean channel. It's also very robust and looks awesome. If you only want 1 or 2 distortion sounds, this is a no go. But its fun and great value.
High treble medium output alnico bliss.
I much prefer medium output pickups for getting full variety of sounds. these scream at high gain and clean up extremely nicely. best pickups I've ever had.
Not a great clean boost, but not why I want it anyway.
I've used better boosters but I just needed a gain boost for solos. works great adding extra saturation and volume. I use this in conjunction with a Boss GE-7 equalizer on full volume, boosting mids before the preamp.
Perfectly made Japanese guitar. long scale length means beefier tone but more difficulty playing leads.
Alder body. bolt on maple neck. Ebony Fretboard. 22 frets. stock pickups were high output and pretty terrible. Swapped them out from some dimarzios with a parallel switch for the neck pickup. Double locking tremolo is old and clunky but works well. One of the best sounding guitars I have played, and at 32, it plays perfectly.
