This is my first kit. It is small in size because it is meant to be used as a small touring kit. I have no problem with the size, because it sounds great and also fits in small areas. The ride/crash cymbal and hi-hat that this kit came with sounds good. I did by myself a separate crash though. The main thing that needs upgrading is the throne. It wasn’t bad for the set but after a while you start to feel the need for a new one. The only issue that I’m starting to think about is the fact that the sizes of the snare, bass, floor tom, and tom are not a usually size. So when buying replacement heads in the future could be an issue along with finding cases for travel. Other than that this is a great first kit that I could ever ask for.
