The kit is definitely the way to go.

3 PDMIC's for less than the cost of a Shure SM mic. It comes with a carry bag, protective hard case, 3 stand clips & 3 26 foot microphone cords. Without a doubt, the best value & quality I've found online. Back to a main microphone and several backup units. If you need to mic an open back cab & do vocals, the 3 pack has it covered.

Pyle-Pro PDMIC58/PDMIC59 Dynamic Microphone

I have the PDMIC59, which is the PDMIC58 with the On/Off Switch. Again, Pyle-Pro has a solid microphone with either the 58 or 59. This comes in a 3 pack kit and for what the PDMIC58/59 lacks as a 1:1 comparison to the Shure SM58(S), you can buy 3 of these and have backup mics for less than what a Shure SM58(S) MSRP's for.

Not even going to qualify the PDMIC78 with how much it does or doesn't cost.

Pyle-Pro has a solid microphone here. What it lacks from a 1:1 comparison to a Shure SM57, you can buy several of these as backup units. If you've ever miced an open back cab properly, you know that you need one microphone in the front & another in the back. PDMIC78 makes that affordably possible.
