My EQ-100 works just perfectly on the distortion channels of my Blackstar HT-60 valve combo, but when I switch to clean, the volume level boosts dramatically. To recap: Pedal off: clean, light dist. and heavy dist are all equal volume. Pedal on: Slight volume increase on dist. channels, clean boosts to insane volume level.

Like Tom Morelllo uses his EQ for, I just 'up' all of the dials to get a volume boost during solos. I know I'm no Tom Morello, though.

A friend said that it might be the valve connected to the clean channel, as if it hasn't had as much usage as the dist. channel-related valves. I am yet to single out the EQ and test it straight from the guitar to the amp, or even through effects loop outputs/inputs in the back.

Are there any ideas, or similar problems?
