Current number 1 humbucker

I got this because I needed a humbucker, and the Jagmaster wasn't quite doing what I wanted. I used to play a 66 Kalamazoo Les Paul Deluxe back in the 80s as my main guitar, and I knew a Les would have the tricks I wanted. I got one in cherry because I always wanted one since I saw Kristin Hersh playing one in the 80s, but I grew away from Les Pauls, so this was my first chance to indulge that. Its a good guitar, but Gibson haven't made a great guitar since the old glue ran out in about 1970 in my opinion, and some of the cheap knock offs are as good if not better than the real thing.

Easily Fender's best humbucker guitar

Lene REALLY likes the sound of the Jagmaster, and it was my main humbucker guitar when we started touring in 2012, but I was very quickly forced to replace it with a Les Paul because this guitar, alas, doesn't have separate controls for each pickup, and on a humbucker guitar I tend to use the bridge pickup exclusively, so on the Les I can turn down the neck and use the pickup selector as a killswitch, so I can do Steve Jones-style morse code feedback effects. The Jagmaster does still have its place, and is the only humbucker I own with a whammy.

Absolutely my favourite electric guitar that I own

I have a Mk1 Affinity Tele in black with maple neck, bought off the peg in 2001 and my favourite guitar. Songs just pour out of it whenever I pick it up. A truly magical instrument. Named "Will" after Will Sergeant, who played a black and maple Tele in the heyday of the Bunnymen. I particularly love that this has toploading strings rather than thru body like my Mexican Tele, because I use very light strings and not only does a 90degree bend weaken them, but the nut falls out too easily on the Mex and I've lost so many on dark stages that I don't even use the guitar any more. The Affinity is my favourite guitar I own.

My new #1 Strat

Mine was originally built for Hank Marvin and given to me by the Fender guys in Penge after they heard me complaining about my other Strat. This guitar is flawless and plays like cotton wool. Mine is all black in rosewood with single coils, not the hotrail horrible thing in the photo.
