true experimental modular workstation

(ppooll is free and opensource) ppooll is lloopp by Klaus Filip, this software is my main tool for composing ambiance soundscapes or straight improv, it is easily one of the most versatile bits of software allowing you to route anything anywhere and to modulate any parameter within any act (module) with it being assembled in max msp it makes it easy to integrate your own patches into ppooll, would recommend you try ppooll (but be aware it has sometimes a hard looking interface and may take some time to get use too)

Preferred Settings + Usage:

flop and karma@ being sent to prdelay then multitap with abit of freeverb for good measure, then using modu_lator to experiment modulating different parameters.

a solid take on ppooll within pure data

Pdooll by Lou Janssen is a recreation of Ppooll (Max/MSP) but made within Pure data a free open source alternative to max MSP, Pdooll brings the desired experimentation of ppooll but with a more user friendly approach compare to ppooll although it is still in its early form with alot more to come it is easily one of my go to for creating experimental works.

Preferred Settings + Usage:

sampler with a speed of 0.5 patched to vverb module then patched to pitcher module then sent to master output with alot of lfo's and modulation
