Best Digital Delay you can buy...
A secret weapon of Bob Clearmountain in the studio! It's like having 6 mono delays in one with insane options. VERY easy to program, very smooth workflow.
Chorus, flange, ambiance, tapped delays, circular and panning delays...I haven't even scratched the surface.
Have I mentioned, "built like a tank"? It has its own feel/vibe, reminds me of a TC 2290, but much easier to program(and in one rack space).
Outstanding fidelity and clarity, but it has a certain "character/something" that adds warmth and depth to everything!
In the same way that(higher-end) Lexicons impart their own warmth/character to mixes and live scenarios, the D5000 does the same thing.
The unit is in essence 6 delays in one box! Can be run as 3 stereo delays or 6 mono delays with feedback, modulation, phase, ducking all available within each preset. Chorus, delay, flange, tremolo, ambiance, space, depth are all available in this box. Circular and panning delays are insane!
Possibilities are endless. This unit has HUGE headroom, the output is definitely on the hotter side @ +4, it started clipping the line mixer in my guitar rack, once padded it was perfect.
Most of these units were sold for the Japanese market so many are 100v. You'll need an inexpensive step-down transformer or a bucking transformer. For the longevity of the unit, I would NOT run it on 120V, if you have a 100v version get the step-down transformer.
