Like it very much
I had a Vox Amplug 2 bass. I saw some videos where they compared them and it convinced me. Now that I compare both, I personally like the Blackstar better for two main reasons: sound quality and background noise (hum). This Blackstar has the possibility to choose between a classic, modern sound (which sounds emulating an Ampeg) and distorted. Against the Vox that only has one sound and only changes the gain level. Another important aspect is that it does not introduce as much background noise as the Vox: it is much quieter. It has gain and volume control. Some find it better in the Vox that the drum machine has independent volume and not in the Blackstar. I like the sound of the latter better compared to the Vox, which sounds much duller, more opaque, although the tone is at 10. I see it as much more versatile than the Blackstar.

Modern channel sounds like an Ampeg. Good bass, scoooed mids, boosted treble, and a bit of grit. Tone at 10

Clean sound. Loud. Sturdy
It's a very good bass head. Very clean, very transparent. Powerfull. It has, like gallien krueger's heads, 4 tone controls: bass; lo mid; hi mid, high. And 3 switches for boosting low, highs and scoop mids. Says it has an onboard compressor. I'm not sure, you can't notice. Xlr balanced output with separate volume control. Effect loop too. And, here in argentina, it is not so expensive

I use it for reherseals, bass +2; lo mid +2; higg mid -2; high -2 And shape buttons desengaged

Very impressive for the price!
I wasn't expecting too much, but it surprissed me for good. It's very simple to use and to set up. Very good sounding! As usual it has some effects that you are gonna never use, but the most common ones soun terrible well. It has some presets, but i found better making my own. You can use 5 effects at the same time and you can put them in the order you want. I think it is a very good tool for practicing, rehearsals and live gigs. You can use tonelib app to create new patches or modify actual ones. It can be used with batteries or power supply. It also has aux input and phones output

Excellent for the price
An Argentinian brand that makes bass and guitars amplifiers for the last 40 years. Some of them are eminence equipped. They make their own speakers as well. This cab in particular is a small model, lightweight, very powerfull and sounds really great. They are cheaper than international brands here in Argentina.

Nice practising headphone amp
Very good home, or travel, practising amp. It has three gain options you can choose leaving the power button pressed a few seconds. It has a tone knob. It is pretty bass and mid scooped. It has a hiss all the time since you turn it on. It is japan made, and the quality is good. It runs on 2 AAA batteries. The best of all is that you don´t need any cables, only bass, this little thing and a good headphones that can handle lower frecuencies
Preferred Settings + Usage:
I like the tone in 5. I like the sound of my pbass with tone knob rolled off at 50%. Both settings achieve the sound i like to practise

Very good home practising amp
Nice amp. It sounds pretty decent. It handle 10 watts of power. Very low noise through the internal speaker and even through headphones out. It has two controls: bass and treble. It also has a switch that engages preset shape, boosting the mids. Overall is a good amp for practising, small, light and quiet. The only issue is taht the speaker is only 5", so it does not sound like a a bigger amp. But it is supposed to because of size. The soun through headphones is way better

The settings i like most are: shape button off; bass 6; trebble 4; so, if you push the volume to be heard among electroscustic guitars, it wouldn't distort
