My Gear 12

I've had these microphones for over 10 years, i bought them because they were cheap, and had good reviews. I initially bought them to record stereo acoustic guitar, but I’ve ended up using them for many other sources. They sound great on acoustic guitar, there is a pleasant bump in the highs for cutting through the mix, but it can be a bit too much in come circumstances. They are my go to mics for stereo overheads, they capture a very clear image of the kit. I found that they work well on electric guitar cabs if they are placed towards the outside of the speaker cone. Pros: 1. Great value for money 2. -10db pad for more headroom 3. Clear sound 4. well built 5. low cut 6. good stereo imaging 7. comes with a case, stereo bar, windscreens, and clips Cons: 1. Cannot cope with any wind 2. windscreens are not ver affective 3. sound profile is a bit too bright and harsh 4. low cut and pad are on the same switch 5. clips snapped due to poor materials
