Yes, I think the value for a browser extension will come from showing gear used on YouTube or other pages where gear is used.

The extension will bring value if you are on YouTube or any page actually and the extension lists the effects/instruments used. The Google Bard API can get this information without building a huge database with URLs per product on Equipboard. There will be other AIs that can do this too I am sure. Creating a large database may be the most stable and cost-effective thing and will make room for listing products for audio-only sites like SoundCloud or Spotify. Storage is cheap ;)
