they're everywhere.... not as cheap as they once were but they amde so many of them that if you can swing the current 3 to 400 buy in then there's one out there for you. Beware failing membrane buttons. Honestly the MK2 is a better buy because of that but the sound is 16 bit and more hifi, brighter, harsher, no mk1 graininess. Another good buy? SY22, 35 which are vector synths with a limited 4op engine plus AWM synthesis which is like yamaha's samplebased Roland D50 type synthesis system... if you want a dx7 mk2 get an sy77, its essential a DX& MK2 with an AWM engine added and some basic workstation features. Or better still get an EX5. Like an SY99 with the crazy physical modelling engine and the ability to stack engines and vector between them ala the prophet VS.
