**First impression was great... Until.....**

Since this is going to be a review on their customer service and overall customer appreciation, this should work for both wired and wireless keyboard options.

I bought a Akai LPK 25 (Wired version) brand new during the pandemic. A fun new instrument to use during all the downtime. I would say the total amount of time that I used it was about 10 hours or so over a 3 month period. But I started noticing that my computer would make that sound like something was unplugged. I didn't know why and the keyboard stayed working so I didn't worry about it. I had my keyboard on my computer desk at all times to use with my DAW. I never took it anywhere, I never had anybody other than me use it and the usage was minimal. One days out 4 months after I bought it, It no longer registered on my computer. After lots of different drivers and troubleshooting steps, come to find out the cause was the USB port on the keyboard coming loose. I noticed that it had a one-year (Limited) warranty, So I emailed their customer service to explain the situation and they completely dismissed anything I had to say. "Oh you must have been rough with it". And they refused to warranty their product. So as a second option I said, "Can I send you the keyboard back and pay the difference for the Bluetooth version. That would fix my issue, they make a little extra money off of me for the upsell, as well as repairing/refurbishing the LPK25. Honestly all it needed was either to be soldered onto the board better or soldering a new USB port to it. Literally 5 minutes worth of work, I'm happy customer they make more money and then they can sell my old keyboard basically is brand new. Nope, they didn't want to do anything for me. I don't even think they even offered a price for me to pay out of pocket to repair it. Overall I feel like customer service was terrible, they didn't want to meet me halfway or any way whatsoever to keep me (the customer) happy. It's ridiculous because when you think of the grand scheme of it, they would lose nothing to help me. Even if they were to send me a brand new keyboard, It's not like it's going to break their business. It's not a super expensive keyboard. I don't know if this is how they've always treated their customers or if this is new but I would try any other brand before this one. If something happens... You're basically screwed.
