The sound of the 70's !
I used this guitar throughout the 70's in 'Katch 22'. it has a unique sound which was featured heavily in our repertoire. It can be heard on many of the BBC Radio One sessions we played.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Kneck pick-up full, centre pick-up off, bridge pick-up on, balanced control set as required.

Excellent sounds and presets.
I worked in a Hi-Tec duo from 1983, and this machine became the 'backbone' of our set up. It is still in use to this day and now features regularly on tracks recorded in my studio.
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Favourite sounds:- Concert Grand piano, Warm Strings. Lead synth.

A great bass !
The Perception 60JJ is a good bass to play, with its easy playing action and great tones and sound. I have only used it in the studio so far and I am impressed with the overall quality and tone. I have been a professional musician for many years working with "Katch 22", "Paintbox", "Wayne Fontana", "Vanda and Young", and played a support to many other bands over the years. I am currently working in the studio on new material for a new album, and the Perception Bass is an integral part of the music. I purchased this bass after trying out an Ibanez, Fender Mexican Jazz bass, for me it just felt better quality all round over the others. I used a 1960's Precision on tour back in the day, but regrettably sold it!
Preferred Settings + Usage:
Best studio setting :- Bridge pick-up full, kneck pick-up 75%, blended together, direct injection to the studio 'desk', E.Q'd as required, and played with a plectrum. This gives a hard 'rocky sound suitable for our music.
