It's a decent amp to carry around, not too light or heavy. The reverb with a clean tone sounds beautiful, but the distortion isn't as good with palm muting and metal tones. It does, in fact, have a decent rock tone.
My first and only bass, it came with a kit that I've used to learn how to play. It's an average guitar with 20 frets, and with nice strings, you are set!
