I've had this guitar for 3 years now. Still sounds great. I didn't know much about guitars when I bought it. I was looking for a good looking and sounding guitar for a decent price. I bought the guitar off of amazon. Never played it. Never heard it. Just bought the guitar and when it came in I found that it actually has beautiful tone and some pretty decent resonance. It is a part of the G Series so it is going to be more affordable, but Takamine really did amazing with this one. The jumbo body gives it a really nice big sound. The action is really amazing and the guitar keeps its tune. The onboard tuner works great and the pickups inside the guitar sound good as well. It's an all round great guitar for a great price.
This guitar sounds as good as it looks. This is one of those guitars that sounds good and feels good right out of the box. The action is perfect. Nice and low. The neck is thin and very comfortable. Keeps me from getting tired after excessive playing or long gigs. It stays in tune really well. Like I said before, it's good to play for long periods of time. The body style is different obviously, and it does take a bit of getting used to, but I found that eventually feels very comfortable and even natural. The pickups sounds great. They give the guitar a nice big and beefy sound. It sounds great clean or distorted. Sounds good with all effects really. I use the guitar for all of my gigs. Sounds great in clubs or in outside venues. It really does it all.
