The quality of the Japanese instruments going into the 90's is only matched by custom shop instruments from Fender. The Chinese made instruments from the second half of the 90's are very good but need tuner and bridge upgrades.

This is a second generation Dillion electric guitar which are extremely well made. I've played out a year with mine as my main guitar live and in the studio. Dillion's customer service is outstanding. A push/pull tone knob stripped and wouldn't stay on so I emailed John, the owner. I had a response to my email in less that 24 hours and a new set of knobs with set screws sent no charge. WOW. Great guitar, great company... they seem to be selling off their current stock and nothing more and it's getting to be slim pickins on these guitars.

I was a bit disappointed with this guitar, it is a first generation Dillion guitar and not quite up to the standards of the second generation. Evidently Dillion learned from their mistakes and fixed them, which is what you want. The sanding on the three piece body is subpar and the joints are visible in the light. Also the tone block in the bridge/trem assembly is thin cheap pot metal like a low end squire. Pick ups are bright, bold and stratty. The pots feel good though both tone pots seem to be wired as volume pots?!?! Grover tuners are great, but the weird color finish on the maple neck and fret board are a bit off-putting. Sounds and plays really good.

Skunk stripe, bound fret board and terrific pickups! $169 and could be a main guitar. Really makes you wonder what kind of con job Gibby and Fender are pulling off with $1000 Mexican instruments and astronomical Gibson prices on EVERYTHING.

Another Rondo Music product marvel. Top mount not string through but spanky and full of tele tone. This picture was taken before I changed the saddles to something a bit more meaty. $150 can actually buy you a really good guitar.
