My favourite drum synth

It's all about FM synthesis, randomization, weird sounds and probability. The characteristics allow you to create various drum sounds, from classic kicks to surprising FX, and the results are always interesting.

Tiny but powerful drum synthesizer

The sonic possibilities of that little machine are huge ! The sequencer works well and the effects (overdrive, bitcrusher, wavefolder, wave guide) add thickness to the sound.

I would love to see Korg create an extended version of the Volca Drum, with a 64 step-sequencer, the possibility to load samples, a bigger size and multiple outputs.

Very good hybrid machine for those who want to use both a computer and a physical sequencer.

There are still missing options (different pattern lengths for parts, more effects to tweak sounds, a screen to avoid looking at the computer's) but I love the Arturia SparkLE.
