The best sampler plugin I have

Kontakt is probably the best sampler plugin I have ever seen. There is so much flexibility and control you have with this plugin. With the right sound libraries, I think you could easily make music that is almost on the same quality of professional movie, game, and tv soundtracks. The main downside is just how expensive everything can be. You not only have to pay for Kontakt itself (which I believe is 100$) but you also have to go out and buy the sound libraries separately. Kontakt has easily cost me much more than my DAW and Computer combined, but I would still say it's worth it due to the level of quality and control you have with the plugin.

Not worth it in my opinion

I'm going to be completely honest here, I just really don't think this plugin is worth it. It is essentially a glorified layering plugin with some built in sounds and effects, the one thing I think it has going for it is the pitch control. Honestly, it's not a bad plugin I just don't think it's worth 65$ when you could easily produce very similar results with stock plugins and audio track editing in most DAWs (albeit with a lot more tweaking.) If this plugin was closer to 10$ or even if it was free I think it would be worthwhile, but for now you're better off spending your money on plugins with more uses.

Very good synth plugin

I will keep this review short since I haven't personally used Pigments as much, but from what I have used it is an extremely well made plugin and has the potential to become the next Serum in my opinion. I will have to mess with this synth more.

Very good soft synth plugin

Xfer Serum is my go-to synth for pretty much any electronic sound. You can make a vast majority of sounds with Serum and is one of the easiest synths to use. The custom wavetable support is especially amazing, allowing you to make even more variations of sound. Serum can also be used in pretty much any musical genre that I can think of. It is slightly limited to other synths out there, being limited to only two oscillators and only having a handful of filters/effects, but it is by far the best synth plugin I have ever used.

Excellent DAW with a big learning curve

Ableton is a great DAW and my main choice for music production/composition. You can already make pretty amazing music out of the box due to it's very well made stock plugins and effects. It does have a somewhat steep learning curve - it took me a while to even figure out how to get into arrangement view, but once you learn it well it can be very powerful.

And while I still don't think it's MIDI editor is quite as easy to use as FL Studio's, recent improvements to the midi editor have made it very very powerful to use.

The one drawback I can see is that this DAW is pretty pricey - even more so than FL Studio's, with the suite version being 749$ without student discount - but I definitely think that it is worth it.
