Decent DS1-Style distortion pedal

While collecting the 4 competition series pedals from Fender, i managed to find mint-condition Distort pedal. The competition series is largely overlooked by both the guitar pedal community and hardly ever acknowledged by Fender themselves. Lots of claims going around about these pedals being cheaply made white-label products from China, wether this is true i can neither confirm nor deny. As for my experience my experience, these pedals have a lot of things i like: - A flat footswitch making it more comfortable for playing without shoes - Simple 3-knob controls - A light but sturdy metal chassis - really nice design But of course the important question is, "is the sound good?" when comparing it to an actual Boss DS-1... it's not spectacular, The Boss DS-1 gives just a bit more punch and has more sensitive knobs, the slightest turn can make a huge difference. With the Fender Competition Distort it feels like you have to turn the knobs a lot further to make a similar change. If you come across one of these for a decent price and you don't have a DS-1 yet, I'd say buy it, it still gives you the sound you want and the construction isn't as flimsy as something like a Behringer. But if you already have a DS-1, this pedal won't give you any sounds you don't already have
