I'm looking for a convincing octave below sound for my guitar, to play as a fake bass for Royal Blood esc songs. Gonna ABY and then run it into a bass amp, but which do I go for???

ive got a fender aby bought for £25, it leaks at high volumes tho! Looking for a better quality one, any suggestions??

At the moment I play guitar through 2 amps and am looking to get a decent sub octave sound through the second, where I can use power chords as well. From what I can tell it seems easier to go from a bass up than a guitar down. I wanna drive the sub slightly- like royal blood or the white stripes- any suggestions to pedals or set ups?
