Great (but huge) Delay!

First-off, this pedal has a very large footprint—like around a 3 x 5090B box equivalent. However, it's very functional, as compared to other pedals that have a ton of knobs and buttons. An added expression pedal will allow control over almost all of the attributes (including button states), which gives this pedal a lot depth. The only real (known) issue is that the pedal's SDD-3000 delay mode brings the input level down a bit (compared to all the other modes), which can be annoying if you're in a live performance situation... There is a built-in input/output attenuator which is useful... I've been using this pedal for about 6 months (practice and live performances) and it really adds a lot of great tone to my setup.

midi controllable, if you get a controller/looper you don't even need it on your board... all my effects accept MIDI program and command changes except an 80s chorus on a single MIDI controlled loop (its not true bypass and the buffer stinks) at this point so I just have a controller in front of me and the bulky TC pedals and the 2 other devices actually fit inside an AC30. I just unspool a few cables, hook up and plug the controller n and I have bank after bank of preset sounds at my disposal. The investment was minimal and there's no more tap dancing. I ahd to sacrifice some vintage and boutique boxes to keep the footprint so small, but my sound didn't suffer AT ALL.

jimmarchi1—Any recommendations on controller for this? I was looking at the Boss ES-5, but it may be a little overkill for what I need. I'd also need to control tap tempo... that's kind of a must for me since the the tempo changes often for our performances. This is the only midi device I'd be running, so not sure what the best options are. Thanks!

I actually just sue the cheap behringer controller with my TC stuff. its served me well so far but its a bear to set up. I have been kidna looking at the boss dealie because I could add some non midi pedals in on loops more easily. I wish I could find an all in 1 rack unit that tickled me but even the G-system falls short of the discrete pedals in my rig :-( I actually bought a used SDD pedal based on your review, so thanks. I should add it to my board, but I haven't actually used it in my rig yet, just played some 80s U2 licks through it into an ac30 and put it on a shelf ;-)
