We won't be able to to answer your question before knowing these questions, How well do you play? How often do you play? If it's your first time buying an Effect pedal like Overdrive pedal, pedalboard amp or fuzz pedal then i would recommend you to go for cheap ones. There is no need to buy fancy & costly ones. First learn about the process & get used to the effects. I know most people use distortion effects pedals to hide the problem with their technique but don't worry you can use it like a pro.
If you a pro guitarist then please go for the best overdrive pedals available in the market also do share your music with us well.
But, still, i would recommend you to search for cheap effect pedals online for better deals.
