rasputin, you know what I would do if I were you? Go to YouTube and search for "Sytrus tutorial" like so:

Then, pick the videos that got the most views, and follow along. You'll seriously be surprised at how much progress you will make in sound design in a short period of time. It CAN get complicated, but the basics are pretty easy to grasp!

I've never used Sytrus, I'm a big fan of Sylenth1, and for the longest time I was playing with only presets and tweaking knobs randomly. Eventually I followed some Sylenth1 sound design tutorials, and it rocked my world. I was able to make almost any sound from scratch.

maybe the newest version is better (i stopped checking around 10) but they ate it for a long time so i have no trouble saying it's subpar to Ableton which incidentally is the main software Deadmaus, BT, and a lot of the other "power users" use. they get paid to compliment the product, but actually using it is another story.

considering this guy is a newbie who knows nothing about synthesis i (and some of the other users here) was trying to set him on an easier path than what he asking for.

anyway, if you get through the process of finding the original sound elsewhere it's also heavily processed. from a cursory listen i'd say the phase is possibly inverted up front, it's sitting weird in the "room", mostly to the left but present further back in the right channel. it's also feeding a pretty cold reverb with a long pre-delay and (sounds like) a compressor biting early on it so it dips out quickly."

I am not a big newbie to Fl Studio just synth, Also FL studio is great if you know how to use it.....

That bass sound is almost impossible to find perfectly recreated except in Harmor. The preset Analog Bass 2 sound exactly the same, and it probably came from there originally. I made a thread about the same sound a while ago. I couldn't find almost anyone who reproduced it well.

You should look into sound design overall as it's very useful, especially if you're only using FL stock synths, since there aren't many great presets for those. Search for ''Sytrus presets'' or ''Harmor presets''.

bengt_alexsander; You're actually pretty wrong about that. Sytrus is a synth with enormous capabilities, and Harmor is basically unmatched by any synth on the market today for additive synthesis. FL (or Sytrus, not sure which you were referring to) is not ''a toy''. It does not take ''so much more work than just using Ableton Live, or Reason, or any other proper DAW.'' to make something that sounds good. I'd suggest you seriously research what you're saying before bashing different gear etc. Take a long look at the Power Users page on Image Line's site, before saying that FL isn't a ''proper DAW. Look up SeamlessR's youtube channel to see exactly what you can do with Sytrus, Harmor, and a lot of other IL products (using FL). Please don't make uninformed assumptions.
