Most powerful and at the same time user friendly MIDI pedal I have tried so far

I have for some time been looking for a pedal to replace my Gordius LG2, and I think I have finally found it with the Mortrix. The design philosophy and goal of it is to offer a really powerful MIDI controller pedal, exposing all the gritty details of MIDI, and at the same time do it in a highly approachable and user friendly way. And it shows. The user interface is clear and large, and the interaction through the touch screen is well thought out. For me, the ultimate test for these kind of complex and almost "engineer'y" pedals is that already on my first attempt at using it with my band, I was able to tweak stuff quickly on-the-fly when I had the need to, and it was a breeze.

I use it mainly for controlling my synths, but it is also a central hub for the rest of the band to tap into, e.g. to get MIDI clock for tempo sync. I use it to control a BeatBuddy with a programmed click for our drummer to have in-ear click track, and it enables us to trigger arpeggios and sequences real time during live performances. This setup works surprisingly well!

The setups is organized into scenes, with possibly multiple pages, and each page can have 6 presets which are mapped to the buttons on top and bottom. Scenes may be organized into set lists, so a scene typically corresponds to a song in a set, and you set up all the controls you need for a song per scene.

There is a large library of "device profiles" available, preprogrammed for controlling various effect pedals, but I have just used it to set up presets manually for my gear. It is a joy to use!
