The job of the KORG engineers was to develop a multi-track device that sounded good, but above all practical and affordable. Then you remember the audio cassette, which is still very much used. But since the CR-4 also contains amp and microphone models as well as many digital effects from KORG, it is a real sound monster despite its "cassette-like" simple operation.This new cassette recorder is simply great if you can quickly capture a few ideas or wanting to record the rehearsals, that's just the way to record all four tracks at the same time.
Amp modeling and multi-effects:
The CR-4 comes with a whole battery of realistic amp and effect sounds, which is not surprising given the used 'REMS' modeling technology from KORG - six guitar amps, including a VOX AC30TB, two bass amps, one Acoustic Guitar Tuning and Two Microphone Simulations Provide Pressure and Warmth All Guitar / Bass / Acoustic Guitar / Microphone Models Provide Five Parameters That Are Easily Adjustable Using Controls - No Outboard Equipment Needed, And There Are A Lot Of Effects Including Chorus , Flanger, Tremolo, Delay and Reverb.)
