Gear 11

Its a decent MIDI controller for home use, I run it into Logic and Reason.
I use the Tapewound set for my Bass VI, I love these strings, though they can sometimes be hard to find.
I started out with Garageband on my Mac, and I quickly realized I couldn;t do half the things I was used to doing with my PC and other software I used (including ACID and Cakewalk) ... Logic was a dream to switch to... and did nearly everything I needed. Now I use Logic Pro X and Reaper to record.
Sounds great, MXL is my go-to for Microphones.
It works wonderfully for this, I actually recorded my last demos all on my Mac with Logic Pro X
I bought this years ago, when I didn;t have too much cash and I needed a bass to replace one that was broken beyond repair. I have not been disappointed. People always make fun of these, but while its not fancy, the electronics don't even have a minor crackle in them after like 8 years - and it has a decent range of tone.
Sounds great, plays wonderfully, this is a great under 500 mandolin that won't disappoint.
I don't play guitar too much except for my Bass VI, so I keep this around to record with when I need a bass... after about 10 years, the electronics are starting to fail, and I need the pots and connectors replaced.
I love it, it plays like a J-Bass but its an electric acoustic, and has a wide range of sound from bright to really thud-bassy. Amazing bass.... and I can travel with it and practice with no amplification.
f both surf music, and 80's goth music (especially The Cure) I just had to have this when they re-issued it. I put tapewounds on it (La Bella) because I wanted to bring the brightness down a little
