The ric will forever be my go-to. Nothing else sounds as good to my ear. I love the punchiness of it, the rich sustain, and the beautiful, almost piano like tones that can ring out of this thing. Does being in love with an inanimate object qualify as a fetish?

I got mine refurbished with all new glass for a steal. I wasn't necessarily committed to an Ampeg for my first tube head, but I dig this kool-aid everyone has been drinking. I get it. It gets me. Does anything and everything well. It likes for you to really lean into your playing, and rewards you richly for it. It amplifies with feeling. I've never had a problem with it, if it ever cratered I would buy another immediately.

The best gear deal I ever made. Essentially turned a sword into a plowshare. Traded an AR-15 for it at the local pawnshop. Straight trade, I didn't even care about a haggle, had to have it. The doublewide SubZero of fridges. This thing gets...loud. Running my SVR through this, at half volume, I could literally see space-time warping (without drugs). I'm not sure what my wife hates more, that AR, or this cabinet. She has frequently said it would look good in my apartment. That's pretty passive aggressive. I think SWR designed some really great cabinets in their time (when SWR was SWR), and this is one example. To my ear, its tuned way better than an ampeg fridge. My only bitch about SWR is the damn carpet. I'll never understand that decision.
