Best Jazzmaster, my number 1.
I bought this second hand for considerably cheaper than the original price, and I must say, is the most authentic Jazzmaster that you can buy for the money. The neck is a little bigger than I'm used to, but is very comfortable, and the guitar is extremely resonant and nice to play. The tremolo system is the smoothest and most musical I've come across, and locks nicely and tightly. I love that this guitar's finish will also show you how you like to play it due to Fenders Flash Coat Lacquer. The matching headstock, the transitional gold CBS Fender logo, bound neck and vintage style witch hat knobs are also very aesthetically pleasing to me. In my opinion this is the best Jazzmaster you can currently buy from Fender, that is true and authentic to the original instrument.
One of the Nicest Guitars ever.
I am luck enough to own an all original, mint condition H-75 from 1964, which essentially is identical to the H-78, however does not come with a bigsby, and I must say it is absolutely fantastic. Not only is it extremely versatile with it's 3 DeArmond Gold Foil Pickups, it comes with a volume and tone for each pickup as well as three on/off switches for each; allowing you to discover a whole variety of tones as well as providing it with that quirky 60's guitar look which I simply adore, and being a completely hollow guitar, it just roars! The neck is superb with easy access to all 20 frets, considering it's a catalog guitar too, it is made exceptionally well. I honestly do not understand why these instruments do not sell for more considering their rarity, collectability and playability. I am not parting with mine any time soon! I could not recommend a better vintage guitar to add to your collection.

actually they are NOT rare at all, that's part of the low value (though that is beginning to change), they are also VERY inconsistent and while yours may be magical, not every Harmony of the era will be up to that standard...
