Not to be confused with the Gibson Dove – which is a square-shouldered jumbo with a large scratchplate and parallelogram inlays on the fingerboard – the Super Dove is a slim-bodied cutaway electro-acoustic with dove inlays and a Fishman Aura Pro pick-up system. The Super Dove features a triple A-grade Sitka spruce top, while the back and sides are constructed from a similar grade of Eastern flame maple. High-grade rosewood has been used for the rolled-edge fingerboard, which is tastefully inlaid at the 12th fret with two small doves. The motif is repeated on the scratchplate and the rosewood bridge, which features a compensated saddle for improved intonation. Gold Grover machine heads are fitted to a wide headstock, which features a ‘crown’ logo.

The JTR series is the culmination of a collaboration between Samick - one of the world's largest instrument manufacturers - with guitar maker, J.T. Riboloff, who spent twenty years with Gibson, heading the custom, art and historic division. Together they have come up with the JTR range of guitars, many of which provide a fresh, new take on familiar and classic designs. The SV10 "Sylvia" Roadster is an homage to the Flying V models of the '60s and '70s that broke the mold of traditional solidbody guitar designs during that time. The electronics are simple but effective, with a JTR Hot humbucker at the bridge, controlled by a single volume knob. This, along with the solid poplar body, makes this a lightweight, stripped down rock machine!
