Nice smooth tone, with some gain on tap.
Bought it because I needed an amp that could be used at low wattage for practice and recording as well as being able to gig with. The TSA has 15 and 5 watt settings, but don't be fooled, there's a lot of volume to be had with the 5w setting. Some complain about the sound of the amp, but I've found that placing a boost in the loop really allows the amp to open up and bloom. Gives the cleans a real nice "Yellow Ledbetter" sound on a neck pickup (not that I'm a huge Pearl Jam guy). With the boost and the Tubescreamer built in, you don't need much to get a gig going. Just the boost and, if you're like me, some reverb.

YOU NEED TO CHANGE THE POTS! I changed mine to 250k and it sounds so much more smooth and less like an ice pick.

I have the cream colored one, but same guts.
Incredible, clean, and loud! Packs a punch. Most don't use the bright switch, but I think the dark switch neuters this amp. There are some high freqs, but that can be solved with your guitar tone knob or an eq pedal. I use pedals for gain, and a reverb pedal, which are a must, as this amp is a no-frills style, but it is the clearest palette for pedals in the price range. (Cool tremolo too).

Very great guitar. Nice clean, crisp p90 pickups. Combines Gibson p90 growl with Fender clean.
I enjoy the shorter scale length, so that may be slightly off-putting for some. As a combatant, I use .011 gauge strings, and they give the guitar a more solid feel, without giving up bends and vibrato.
